All uploaded material must comply with our publishing standards (see below). Any feature within our website that allows users to interact, post, comment or publish material will be reviewed by ALTANMYA and edited if it violates our policy, or contravenes our content standards.

All uploaded material will be deemed non-confidential. ALTANMYA has the right and authority to use, copy, distribute and disclose to third parties for any purpose and as seen fit.

We have the right to reveal your identity to any third party claiming your uploaded material breaches their intellectual property rights, or in any way, violates their right to privacy.

ALTANMYA does not hold responsibility to any third party or towards any material posted or uploaded by users of our site. We also have the right to remove any uploaded material that in our opinion, does not comply with the policies of our site or our content standards (see below).

Contributions must :

• be accurate where facts are stated
• be genuinely held where opinions are stated
• and must conform with applicable law in Syria and in any country from which they are posted.

Contributions must not :

• attempt to slander, offend or insult any person in any way;
• contain offensive, hateful or defaming material;
• promote sexually explicit content or imagery;
• promote violence racism or any sort of discrimination based on gender, religion, disability, sexual orientation, age or political views;
• promote any form of illegal activity;
• include any offensive or obscene material;
• infringe any copyright, database right or trade mark of any other person, company or organisation;
• promote or assist in any unlawful act upon ALTANMYA;
• content that may deceive or be likely to deceive any person;
• include material that may cause annoyance, inconvenience or needless anxiety;
• include content that is likely to harass, embarrass, emotionally harm or cause discomfort to any person;
• include content that is used to impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity with any person;
• give the impression that any material originates from ALTANMYA, if this is not the case;
• Advocate, promote or assist any unlawful act such as (by way of example only) copyright infringement or computer misuse.

• send us any material which you have copied from someone else and don’t own the copyright to
• duplicate information; do not post the same topics or posts. This is to include as many diverse topics from as many people as possible.
• use any inappropriate language, this will be dealt with immediately and you may be banned from using certain features on our website.
• send us or post advertising materials without our consent. Such content will be removed.
• publicise any personal information such as your personal address, phone number, contact details or place of employment. This is for your own safety and for the safety of everyone using our website

ALTANMYA will only publish your name where it is suggested to do so. Your email address and contact details will not be published. Any comments or material you post onto our website may also be published on our news page or other publications.

If your contributions breach the law, we are legally required to reveal your identity to the authorities.

All views and comments posted by users represent that person’s individual view, and should in no way be taken as representing the views of ALTANMYA or imply that ALTANMYA supports or represents that person’s view.
